STOVE & OVEN ISSUES
DOESN’T TURN ON
If an electric stove does not start, be sure the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, then some other part will need to be fixed. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.
OVEN WON’T HEAT
A burner or stove that doesn’t produce heat does not do much. Your oven does not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner does not turn on if an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these problems in under 1-2 hours after our arrival.
PROGRAM ISSUES
It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings aren’t working. In this case, we can fix control panels on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves.
OVEN IS VERY HOT
You should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it might be because of an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to diagnose the cause of the problem and then repair it. Be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.
IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT
A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter glows but does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine if we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the parts.
DOOR DOESN’T OPEN
Newer self-cleaning types of ovens sometimes experience door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open and then complete the necessary repair in order to fix the issue.
